Big weekend of Events

Hey all, So this weekend is full of lots of important and fun events that FNB will be involved with in some ways.

First, on Friday the 30th of April, our friend in H.E.L.L. are throwing a benefit show post-critical mass (look for us there too). Critical mass is a monthly take-back-the-streets bikeride that meets up in Copley sqaure at 5pm. Helping Everyone Live Longer, or H.E.L.L. is an organization that gives out free helmets. They are having a benefit show starting at 7pm at a house in Allston. If you would like the address email Sway, Wounded Knees, Cat-Tooth Jim, and Jeff Rowe are all performing that night and FNB will be speaking about our festival and what we normally do.

Then, the next morning is May Day. Two big events are happening simultaneously. Starting in the North End, at 11am, at the Rose Kennedy Greenway, is the Red and Black Feeder march for May Day, International Workers Day. Bread and Puppet will be there, as will a large amount of anti-capitalists. This is followed by the main May Day rally and march on the Boston Common which starts at 12 noon.

However, on the other side of town, FNB will be furiously cooking away for our annual huge meal and the Wake Up the Earth Festival in JP at the Stoney Brook T stop in the park. There is a parade through JP at 11am followed by a festival in the park from 12-6pm. We’ll be there serving food and selling some vegan baked goods for the festival. Come by our table and say hello and check out the other cool stuff going on that day.

Also, note the afterparty at Spontaneous Celebrations after the festival. Should be a fun time. And yes, FNB will be doing both its regular meals this weekend as well.

So have a great weekend, and get involved in some of these awesome events!
